Virtual Machine Containg Central Regional Hospital's Open Source Free Version of WorldVistA EHR The remarkable team at Central Regional Hospital has configured and extensively extended WorldVistA EHR into a truly outstanding open source system for the support of the Central Regional Hospital in South Carolina. This is a state run, inpatient psychiatric hospital. Changes made will also be of great utility to non-psyciatric hospitals. The state of North Carolina has graciously agreed to the release of this enhanced system as open source free software. Joe Thurber will be discussing this on Friday, July 8, 2023 at the 41st VistA Community Meeting. If you are unable to attend, there will be a recording of his presentation. Joe is the person who assembled this virtual machine and is responsible for a great deal of the programming that enhanced this system. There are numerous links to recordings of presentations done by the team members at CRH highlighting the wonderful innovations in the system on that can be founnd on the WorldVistA.org web site in several of the conference agendas. Click on Conferences in the left hand column on the home page of WorldVistA EHR. Unfortunately, this wonderful system is destined to be replaced by an Epic system. We fervently hope that others will adopt some or all of this software to keep it alive and well. If you have questions, you may send me an email. nancy@worldvista.org
